Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mats Quint took the kick off in the first half of the match. Helmut Fellhauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Hesse in the 4th minute of the match. Alvo Neugebauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Oliver Hinke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Achaz Rudolph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Werner Hesse in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmut Fellhauer saved Texas FSV from getting behind. Texas FSV's Alvo Neugebauer got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mats Quint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Oliver Hinke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mats Quint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alvo Neugebauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Sindlingen's Sigi Aschenberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmut Fellhauer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute of the match Oliver Hommel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helmut Fellhauer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Sigi Aschenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sindlingen booed when Texas FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmut Orthaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sindlingen's Werner Hesse got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sigi Aschenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werner Hesse struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Helmut Fellhauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sindlingen. Sigi Aschenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Werner Hesse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Texas FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siegfried Kovermann to maneuver through the defense. Texas FSV's Helmut Fellhauer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Texas FSV from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Texas FSV's goalkeeper Helmut Fellhauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Texas FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Klukas to maneuver through the defense. Helmut Fellhauer was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Sigi Aschenberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sigi Aschenberg really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Helmut Fellhauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Hesse in the 62nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Mirko Kipp put in a rough tackle. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sindlingen! In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Texas FSV. Rollo Lang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oliver Hinke. 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Texas FSV's zone, Wilfried Kirchberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmut Fellhauer came out of the goal and Wilfried Kirchberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Achaz Rudolph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Texas FSV booed when Sindlingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achaz Rudolph didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Quint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 100th minute Alvo Neugebauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Hinke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sindlingen players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Texas FSV from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
