Istvan Sabath charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Istvan Sabath the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Istvan Sabath hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Lauritz Marohn came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Colonia Agrippina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauritz Marohn couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Lauritz Marohn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lauritz Marohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uwe Obladen in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hendrik Stark saved Colonia Agrippina from getting behind. When Stiftsfeld FSV's Waldemar Lämmel in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colonia Agrippina's goalie prevented a goal. Colonia Agrippina's Hendrik Stark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Lämmel in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Rybohl during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lars Rybohl kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Stiftsfeld FSV were furious when Fritz Esche was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 41 minutes into the game, one of Stiftsfeld FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Colonia Agrippina a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hans Seel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stiftsfeld FSV's Marco Battke. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rupert Renger to make the kick off. Achim Marx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Stark having to interfere. Istvan Sabath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Hendrik Stark made a huge save. Alec Hörbelt kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lauritz Marohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Battke having to interfere. With a little luck, Colonia Agrippina's Hendrik Stark got control of the ball when Istvan Sabath tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hendrik Stark made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Achim Marx sent off a good shot on target. Achim Marx struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Hendrik Stark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stiftsfeld FSV. In the 68th minute Istvan Sabath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Stark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Tamino Bleich kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hendrik Stark. That made the score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. A collision led to Stiftsfeld FSV getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fridolin van Gorkom hit a great ball. Achim Marx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Stark having to interfere. Tamino Bleich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hendrik Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achim Marx in the 85th minute of play forced Colonia Agrippina's goalkeeper Hendrik Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 85th minute of the match Lars Rybohl completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lars Rybohl a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lars Rybohl hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Uwe Obladen struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Hendrik Stark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stiftsfeld FSV. In the 91st match minute, Stiftsfeld FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uwe Obladen to maneuver through the defense. Stiftsfeld FSV played a much better game than Colonia Agrippina and deserved their victory. The Colonia Agrippina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
