Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jörg Illing made the kick off and thus started the match. Julius Dierking stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anjo Däubler's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Anjo Däubler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Dierking saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius Dierking made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anjo Däubler in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Düddingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berti Michael to maneuver through the defense. Axel Stollenwerk hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Julius Dierking made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Brei in the 29th minute of play. Anjo Däubler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Dierking having to interfere. Düddingen's Julius Dierking played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anjo Däubler in the 33rd minute of play. If Ingmar Brei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Anjo Däubler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ingmar Brei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julius Dierking was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. If Anjo Däubler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anjo Däubler came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Borussia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anjo Däubler couldn't finish the play. Roland Walz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingmar Brei made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Borussia's Anjo Däubler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Julius Dierking came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia's Anjo Däubler. But to his dismay, Anjo Däubler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Anjo Däubler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Julius Dierking when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julius Dierking made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anjo Däubler in the 60th minute. Jörg Illing scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steffen Gaab, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 66 minutes, Berti Michael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Düddingen and the Borussia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Düddingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berti Michael to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anjo Däubler got free with Julius Dierking in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jörg Illing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Steffen Gaab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingmar Brei in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julius Dierking saved Düddingen from getting behind. If Anjo Däubler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Julius Dierking managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Borussia's Anjo Däubler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd minute, Torsten Riedel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anjo Däubler came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Borussia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anjo Däubler couldn't finish the play. The Düddingen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Borussia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
