Farin Bäuschlein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Krausen, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. KF Tirana 2.0's Norbert Hauser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Avenarius in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Holger Avenarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Hauser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Avenarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute Bertram Krausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farin Bäuschlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Farin Bäuschlein came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by KF Tirana 2.0's Bertram Krausen. But to his dismay, Bertram Krausen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rodolfo Breitbücher struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Farin Bäuschlein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KF Tirana 2.0. Bertram Krausen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, KF Tirana 2.0's Norbert Hauser got control of the ball when Meikel Lühmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Meikel Lühmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norbert Hauser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Meikel Lühmann ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Ulm's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Krausen came free, but Farin Bäuschlein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Meikel Lühmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulm's supporters rose to their feet, but Meikel Lühmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Hauser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Meikel Lühmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Hauser was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Carlo Bruckner kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to KF Tirana 2.0 getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Kajetan Göldner hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Sigi Meier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigi Meier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Breitbücher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KF Tirana 2.0's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ulm the free kick. Rodolfo Breitbücher hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Meikel Lühmann scored 1-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Hauser, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, KF Tirana 2.0 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kajetan Göldner to maneuver through the defense. Norbert Hauser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meikel Lühmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sigi Meier charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sigi Meier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kajetan Göldner hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Avenarius in the 92nd minute of play forced KF Tirana 2.0's goalkeeper Norbert Hauser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the KF Tirana 2.0 defense, Holger Avenarius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norbert Hauser. The KF Tirana 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Hauser should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the KF Tirana 2.0 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ulm.
