Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Winfried Aydin managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV 05 Meckenheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Winfried Aydin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Teufel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Koester in the 11th minute of play forced FC Regensburg's goalkeeper Klaus Teufel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Chris Koester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus Teufel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SV 05 Meckenheim booed when FC Regensburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Behringer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Kai Henrichs in the 23rd minute really tested Klaus Teufel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Klaus Teufel made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Chris Koester sent off a good shot on target. Winfried Aydin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Winfried Aydin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The FC Regensburg fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when FC Regensburg's Eugen Behringer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eugen Behringer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fritz Rudolf Woyke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Eugen Behringer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Fritz Rudolf Woyke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Witte struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Fritz Rudolf Woyke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Regensburg. 60 minutes into the match, FC Regensburg's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Aydin came free, but Klaus Teufel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Witte's late challenge caught a SV 05 Meckenheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Witte helped the player get up and apologised. Hubert Witte kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Klaus Teufel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Koester in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Eugen Behringer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SV 05 Meckenheim's Fritz Rudolf Woyke. Fritz Rudolf Woyke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, SV 05 Meckenheim's Detlev Heßmann got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Regensburg's zone, Winfried Aydin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Teufel came out of the goal and Winfried Aydin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeff Jürgens kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, SV 05 Meckenheim's Kai Henrichs broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hubert Witte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fritz Rudolf Woyke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Freddy Küttner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Jochen Majohr made a precise shot to the right of Klaus Teufel. FC Regensburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
