Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thon FSV's Volkmar Radermacher started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Volkmar Radermacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Komp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otmar Löffler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Volkmar Radermacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atzelsberg's Claus Komp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ansgar Allmeier in the 13th minute of play. Claus Komp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ansgar Allmeier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otmar Löffler came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Atzelsberg's Hartmut Mühleck. But to his dismay, Hartmut Mühleck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Otmar Löffler came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Atzelsberg's Konstantin Utters. Christoph Mohs in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Otmar Löffler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 35th minute Lars Wolsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otmar Löffler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Konstantin Utters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christoph Mohs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otmar Löffler having to interfere. Otmar Löffler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christoph Mohs in the 41st minute. Thon FSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Lars Wolsch scored to the left of an out of position Otmar Löffler, making the score, 3-0. Claus Komp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ansgar Allmeier, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lars Wolsch made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Hartmut Mühleck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otmar Löffler. Thon FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hartmut Mühleck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Claus Komp made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Arne Krapp sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Wolsch in the 61st minute of play forced Thon FSV's goalkeeper Otmar Löffler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ansgar Allmeier got free with Claus Komp in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Otmar Löffler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Mohs, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Otmar Löffler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Mohs in the 70th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Atzelsberg got a freekick which was hit by Christoph Mohs. Ansgar Allmeier scored 4-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claus Komp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Thon FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph Mohs came free, but Otmar Löffler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With splendid footwork Volkmar Radermacher arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-2 by the left pole in the game's 83rd minute. With his leg Claus Komp managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Thon FSV's Ansgar Allmeier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
