Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rainer Salecker got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Victor Hofer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Detlef Morgenroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Hofer kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Axel Schuchter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schlierbach FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1899 Hoffenheim the free kick. A collision led to Schlierbach FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Axel Schuchter hit a great ball. Thilo Heinrichs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willi Kohl having to interfere. If Thilo Heinrichs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1899 Hoffenheim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Axel Schuchter scored to the left of an out of position Willi Kohl, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, 1899 Hoffenheim's Willi Kohl got control of the ball when Thilo Heinrichs tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Schlierbach FC's zone, Rainer Salecker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Detlef Morgenroth came out of the goal and Rainer Salecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Detlef Morgenroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hofer in the 31st minute of the match. Thilo Heinrichs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Willi Kohl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Helge Heitland made a precise shot to the right of Willi Kohl. 1899 Hoffenheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Willi Kohl made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Thilo Heinrichs sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Axel Schuchter made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Schuchter in the 54th minute of play forced 1899 Hoffenheim's goalkeeper Willi Kohl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes, Adé Fiedler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1899 Hoffenheim and the Schlierbach FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Helge Heitland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1899 Hoffenheim's Willi Kohl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Schuchter in the 58th minute of play. Thilo Heinrichs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in 1899 Hoffenheim's zone, Axel Schuchter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willi Kohl came out of the goal and Axel Schuchter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörn Mill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th match minute, 1899 Hoffenheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Mill to maneuver through the defense. Willi Kohl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Heitland in the 80th minute of the match. If Thilo Heinrichs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helge Heitland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Willi Kohl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schlierbach FC had played much better football throughout.
