Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lars Neitzel made the kick off which started today's match. The SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04 fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's Arnold Leupold looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 6th minute, Efraim Stötzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnold Leupold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hergen Iggelheimer having to interfere. Herbert Suhrke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hergen Iggelheimer having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's Atze Gödtel got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Lars Neitzel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th match minute, Piast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimund Kapke to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Piast's Hergen Iggelheimer got control of the ball when Herbert Suhrke tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Arnold Leupold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hergen Iggelheimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hergen Iggelheimer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnold Leupold's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Leupold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Schossow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Neitzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Suhrke's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hergen Iggelheimer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arnold Leupold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Atze Gödtel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atze Gödtel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnold Leupold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Hergen Iggelheimer made a huge save. Herbert Suhrke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leopold Bednarski came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopold Bednarski couldn't finish the play. If Leopold Bednarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopold Bednarski was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnold Leupold was the one to do the kick off. Atze Gödtel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atze Gödtel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hergen Iggelheimer having to interfere. When Atze Gödtel came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atze Gödtel couldn't finish the play. Georg Schossow made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lars Neitzel sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rdth minute of the game Arnold Leupold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piast's Hergen Iggelheimer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnold Leupold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hergen Iggelheimer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Piast's zone, Atze Gödtel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hergen Iggelheimer came out of the goal and Atze Gödtel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's Jürgen Löwe got a free kick in the 67th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atze Gödtel in the 75th minute of play. Hergen Iggelheimer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atze Gödtel went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Atze Gödtel kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Theo Binninger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Georg Schossow. SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 80th minute, Herbert Suhrke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Arnold Leupold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hergen Iggelheimer was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Atze Gödtel struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04. In the 87th minute Herbert Suhrke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hergen Iggelheimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hergen Iggelheimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Suhrke, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Arnold Leupold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hergen Iggelheimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SSV SCHALKE KNAPPEN 04 had played much better football throughout.
