In the 3rd minute Eduard Stenzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernward Schleiden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute of the game Ingmar Töpfer made a throw-in which Wolfgang Raidel played forward. In the 12th match minute, Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Hanisch to maneuver through the defense. Ingmar Töpfer hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jacek Kahl might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk Schreier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacek Kahl ran back to his position shaking his head. Ralf Poschmann kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Rudolf Nabor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, KGB Pool Club's Joachim Appelt got a free kick in the 36th minute. Johann Gabriel's late challenge caught a KGB Pool Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johann Gabriel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johann Gabriel to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV's goalkeeper Bernward Schleiden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gottfried Fabisch hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pal Laeger took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dirk Schreier. Dirk Schreier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Bernward Schleiden made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Eduard Stenzer sent off a good shot on target. If Rudolf Nabor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernward Schleiden was a little too slow when Joachim Appelt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Schmotz in the 73rd minute of play forced Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV's goalkeeper Bernward Schleiden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KGB Pool Club booed when Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Hanisch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pal Laeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dirk Schreier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gernot Mai struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Bernward Schleiden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KGB Pool Club. The KGB Pool Club players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sport&Erlebnis Xantia eV from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
