Galatasaray S.K 1905's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Theodor Schuber scored to the left of an out of position Melchior Grasedieck, making the score, 1-0. Tim Schurer's late challenge caught a Galatasaray S.K 1905's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Schurer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Looshof's Tim Schurer got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Looshof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finn Eberl to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Peter Apel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janusz Wiesi was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theodor Schuber in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 27th minute Peter Apel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Wiesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Theodor Schuber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray S.K 1905's Melchior Grasedieck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Melchior Grasedieck acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rouven Resch. 36 minutes into the game, Philipp Flüß was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray S.K 1905's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Looshof the free kick. Melchior Grasedieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodor Schuber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Looshof's zone, Frank Funk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janusz Wiesi came out of the goal and Frank Funk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Galatasaray S.K 1905's Frank Funk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janusz Wiesi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Theodor Schuber sped through Galatasaray S.K 1905's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melchior Grasedieck.
