The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregor Fischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Bolz having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goalkeeper Gabriel Bolz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulrich Felder. Gabriel Bolz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor Fischer in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goal looked a bit too open when Gregor Fischer came free, but Gabriel Bolz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnold Krahforst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Houdelet, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goal looked a bit too open when Gregor Fischer came free, but Gabriel Bolz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulrich Felder got free with Gabriel Bolz in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Simon Houdelet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goalkeeper Gabriel Bolz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulrich Felder. The audience was convinced that Gregor Fischer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Bolz was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The supporters of SPNMünchen booed when Käseburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Houdelet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Früchtl succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Käseburg's zone, Ulrich Felder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Bolz came out of the goal and Ulrich Felder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregor Fischer was the one to do the kick off. Gabriel Bolz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor Fischer in the 55th minute of play. Jorg Jung hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gregor Fischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the game, SPNMünchen's Ulrich Felder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Bolz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ulrich Felder succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. SPNMünchen's Arnold Krahforst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Früchtl in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of SPNMünchen booed when Käseburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Fehr didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Fischer in the 80th minute of play forced Käseburg's goalkeeper Gabriel Bolz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SPNMünchen booed when Käseburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorg Jung didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Gregor Fischer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. SPNMünchen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
