An unexpectedly hard shot by Volker Nehm in the 15th minute of play forced Ringe FSV's goalkeeper Rüdiger Blecken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Adrian Fritsche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ringe FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bodo Roye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Ringe FSV's Bodo Roye ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dominik Kluck. Dominik Kluck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Henrike Korsus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Adrian Fritsche's late challenge caught a AEK Wuppertal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Fritsche helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Ringe FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Fritsche to maneuver through the defense. Dominik Kluck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bodo Roye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Ringe FSV's Bodo Roye sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Kluck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that Ringe FSV were the better team. Ringe FSV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
