With his leg Erik Hopp managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when erkenschwicker sv's Renzo Funke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Raphael Mann charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Mann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raphael Mann hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. erkenschwicker sv's Godo Scheffold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Oberleitner in the 20th minute of play. Erik Gutte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Erik Hopp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kasimir Wagner's late challenge caught a erkenschwicker sv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasimir Wagner helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Ned Nachreiner put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Erik Hopp.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Gutte to make the kick off. Erik Hopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Gutte in the 56th minute of play. Erik Hopp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stoetze FC's goalkeeper Erik Hopp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. erkenschwicker sv's Jörg Wilzek got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Jörg Wilzek off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in erkenschwicker sv's zone, Matthias Gotthard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godo Scheffold came out of the goal and Matthias Gotthard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erich Oberleitner in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godo Scheffold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. erkenschwicker sv's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
