The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Skodell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunatus Protze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carl Nooke came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cappenberg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Nooke couldn't finish the play. Carl Nooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Wisgalla having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Cappenberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunatus Protze came free, but Karl Skodell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cappenberg FC's goalkeeper Karl Skodell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Waltersleben got a freekick which was hit by Attila Jäger. Karl Skodell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Bohrer's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Lucio Bohrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Skodell having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Cappenberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Attila Jäger came free, but Karl Skodell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Jäger in the 40th minute of play forced Cappenberg FC's goalkeeper Karl Skodell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes of play, Cappenberg FC's Egon Buchen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robin Wisgalla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Waltersleben booed when Cappenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hardy Asad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Fortunatus Protze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltersleben's supporters rose to their feet, but Fortunatus Protze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Skodell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Attila Jäger made the kick off in the second half. Karl Skodell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Jäger in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waltersleben's goalkeeper Robin Wisgalla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Waltersleben booed when Cappenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Neudorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Waltersleben's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Nooke came free, but Robin Wisgalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Attila Jäger in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl Skodell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jochen Degner's late challenge caught a Waltersleben's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jochen Degner helped the player get up and apologised. Jochen Degner kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Karl Skodell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attila Jäger in the 79th minute of play. If Attila Jäger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunatus Protze in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl Skodell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Attila Jäger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Skodell having to interfere.
