Egon Blohme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. José Assmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Ingo Schmaltz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olav Sitko in the 7th minute of play forced Schmittlotheim's goalkeeper José Assmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Josip Oßwald managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Josip Oßwald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Assmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes in the game, Olav Sitko fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Assmann having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Lachmann in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marten Breitkopf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Schmittlotheim getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ingo Schmaltz hit a great ball. Olav Sitko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Lachmann struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marten Breitkopf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schmittlotheim. In the 31st minute Jan Lachmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marten Breitkopf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Helmar Hannemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN defense, Jan Lachmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marten Breitkopf. The FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marten Breitkopf should have stopped the shot. Marten Breitkopf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Lachmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Egon Blohme hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN's Marten Breitkopf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helmar Hannemann in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN's goalkeeper Marten Breitkopf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josip Oßwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Assmann having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Olav Sitko made the kick off in the second half. Marten Breitkopf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fynn Hielscher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egon Blohme was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Helmar Hannemanns short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Marten Breitkopf to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 58 minutes, Hendrik Kurth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN and the Schmittlotheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Hendrik Kurth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jan Lachmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helmar Hannemann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Marten Breitkopf made a huge save. Marten Breitkopf made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Helmar Hannemann sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute, Olav Sitko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Lachmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marten Breitkopf having to interfere. Fynn Hielscher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marten Breitkopf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Lachmann in the 85th minute of play forced FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN's goalkeeper Marten Breitkopf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Schmittlotheim's performance. The match ended with a win for Schmittlotheim.
