The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Lehnheim getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Sepp Neudorf hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Karl Ziffert made a precise shot to the right of Alfons Schäffner. Borussia Banana Gißen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Lehnheim's Karl Ziffert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfons Schäffner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Alfons Schäffner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Relf Bermel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Banana Gißen's goalkeeper Alfons Schäffner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Klaus Klauck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aljoscha Rahne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nuran Schrag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfons Schäffner came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Lehnheim's Hans Heite. But to his dismay, Hans Heite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus Klauck got free with Nuran Schrag in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Klaus Klauck got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 44th minute, Arne Laudi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aljoscha Rahne to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfons Schäffner was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Hans Heite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hans Heite really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Klaus Klauck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuran Schrag having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Borussia Banana Gißen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Woltemade to maneuver through the defense. Hans Heite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Alfons Schäffner made a huge save. If Klaus Klauck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Banana Gißen's Heiko Hofmann pulled a muscle in his back after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 66th match minute, Lehnheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berthold Götz to maneuver through the defense. If Kai Wittlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Banana Gißen's Alfons Schäffner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Banana Gißen from getting a goal against them. Nuran Schrag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aljoscha Rahne in the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kai Wittlich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuran Schrag was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Lehnheim's goal looked a bit too open when Aljoscha Rahne came free, but Nuran Schrag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86thth minute of the game Kai Wittlich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lehnheim's Nuran Schrag was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Aljoscha Rahne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuran Schrag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Kai Wittlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuran Schrag showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aljoscha Rahne in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lehnheim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
