When Volker Stockbauer fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frischauf Harleshausen's protests and gave Volker Stockbauer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Frischauf Harleshausen's Volker Stockbauer got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 15th minute Ralf Hönicke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Kindler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Schönstein FSV's Ralf Hönicke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christer Kindler. Christer Kindler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jurij Deck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andi Jenni went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Frischauf Harleshausen's Volker Stockbauer got a free kick in the 34th minute. Christer Kindler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Hönicke in the 35th minute of play. Christer Kindler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Hönicke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Oliver Mall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schönstein FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Mall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvar Trimpin made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Schönstein FSV got a corner. Frischauf Harleshausen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jiri Geldmacher ran over to the corner to take the kick. Andi Jenni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Frischauf Harleshausen's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Mall came free, but Christer Kindler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Kindler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralf Hönicke's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Ralf Hönicke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ralf Hönicke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Kindler was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Alvar Trimpin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jurij Deck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frischauf Harleshausen. Alvar Trimpin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jurij Deck made a huge save. Christer Kindler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Hönicke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Frischauf Harleshausen getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Rudolf Rübenach hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Schönstein FSV's Oliver Mall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christer Kindler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Ralf Hönicke notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Frischauf Harleshausen's Christer Kindler. Christer Kindler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the match, Frischauf Harleshausen's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Mall came free, but Christer Kindler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frischauf Harleshausen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jiri Geldmacher was slow to take the kick. During this time Schönstein FSV's players had a chance to rest. Jacob Häfner tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Christer Kindler. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-1 in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Frischauf Harleshausen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Schönstein FSV.
