In the 34th minute, Wilzenburg FSV's Paulo Miner seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulo Miner the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wilzenburg FSV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo Miner had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wilzenburg FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Zorn FC's Rouven Weigant got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of 史珂翔. Christoph Konschal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christoph Konschal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinz Howeg having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Markus Louven to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Zorn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reiner Behning to maneuver through the defense. If York Peth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Louven in the 63rd minute of play forced Wilzenburg FSV's goalkeeper 史珂翔 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Rouven Weigant almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wilzenburg FSV's 史珂翔 did a great save. After a rather tough play, Wilzenburg FSV's Rodolfo Streich got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Wilzenburg FSV's York Peth got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christoph Konschal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Heinz Howeg made a huge save. Heinz Howeg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from York Peth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Wilzenburg FSV's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Wilzenburg FSV may have spent more time on the ball, but Zorn FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
