After 10 minutes, Pascal Yang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mettnau and the Nöttens players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mettnau getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Pascal Yang hit a great ball. Niklas Freiherr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinhard Kobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Hernan Blohberger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Winfried Keiderling read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinhard Kobe in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niklas Freiherr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Blohberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winfried Keiderling having to interfere. With 34 minutes on the clock, Fidel Kalvelage commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 36th minute, the referee gave Nöttens a penalty. Bastian Seeliger looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Niklas Freiherr. Winfried Keiderling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boppo Wuschech, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Reinhard Kobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Niklas Freiherr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reinhard Kobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Hernan Blohberger made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Kobe in the 58th minute of play forced Mettnau's goalkeeper Niklas Freiherr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derek Nelius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Derek Nelius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niklas Freiherr was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Nöttens's Winfried Keiderling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Nöttens from getting a goal against them. Niklas Freiherr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinhard Kobe in the 96th minute of play. Nöttens's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
