Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erlend Butzer got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Cappenberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhard Kobe came free, but Oswald Bodendiek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Derek Nelius put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oswald Bodendiek. Christian Kahl charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Kahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Nöttens got a freekick which was hit by Christian Kahl. If Derek Nelius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute of the match, Erlend Butzer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Winfried Keiderling saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Kobe in the 25th minute of play forced Cappenberg FC's goalkeeper Oswald Bodendiek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Breilmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derek Nelius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswald Bodendiek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Nöttens getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Joachim Wessel hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Derek Nelius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswald Bodendiek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Tomas Breilmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cappenberg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Breilmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Reinhard Kobe made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cappenberg FC's Timo Langensiepen got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Winfried Keiderling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erlend Butzer's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute of the match Forusan Löbel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Winfried Keiderling skillfully saved the ball. Oswald Bodendiek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinhard Kobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Erlend Butzer came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cappenberg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erlend Butzer couldn't finish the play. Winfried Keiderling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erlend Butzer in the 80th minute of play. Niko Dobinski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oswald Bodendiek. Cappenberg FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nöttens walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
