The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ralf Guddorf charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralf Guddorf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd match minute, FCFW Zetel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Guddorf to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Ebenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Schellheimer took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrien Schily. Adrien Schily dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Rotation Prenzlauer Berg's Dennis Gabriel got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FCFW Zetel's zone, Emanuel Schellheimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrien Schily came out of the goal and Emanuel Schellheimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 played minutes FCFW Zetel got a freekick which was hit by Helmut Violka. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rotation Prenzlauer Berg's goalkeeper Sol von Berg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Rotation Prenzlauer Berg defense, Kamil Thorbrügge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sol von Berg. The Rotation Prenzlauer Berg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sol von Berg should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Ralf Guddorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Rotation Prenzlauer Berg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ralf Guddorf fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 33 minutes into the game, Oswald Schröder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rotation Prenzlauer Berg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCFW Zetel the free kick. The supporters of FCFW Zetel booed when Rotation Prenzlauer Berg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswald Schröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Rotation Prenzlauer Berg's goalkeeper Sol von Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Guddorf. 35 minutes into the match, Kamil Thorbrügge dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sol von Berg, 3-1. If Ralf Guddorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hartfrid Neudorfer kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Emanuel Schellheimer struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Adrien Schily didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rotation Prenzlauer Berg. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kamil Thorbrügge was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamil Thorbrügge in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sol von Berg saved Rotation Prenzlauer Berg from getting behind. Kamil Thorbrügge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Kamil Thorbrügge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sol von Berg was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Kamil Thorbrügge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sol von Berg having to make a save. A collision led to Rotation Prenzlauer Berg getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Björn Schüler hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamil Thorbrügge in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sol von Berg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kamil Thorbrügge might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sol von Berg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kamil Thorbrügge ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 96 minutes, Fynn Gaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCFW Zetel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fynn Gaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that FCFW Zetel were the better team. FCFW Zetel's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
