Arnshain FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Spike Schönhaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Neumann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andreas Neumann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valerian Deckers in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerian Deckers got free with Andreas Neumann in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Spike Schönhaar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Andreas Neumann made a huge save. Andreas Neumann was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Stuart Stein capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stuart Stein really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Licherode FSV's zone, Stuart Stein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Neumann came out of the goal and Stuart Stein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Neumann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valerian Deckers in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Licherode FSV's Paul Schiele got a free kick in the 27th minute. Reik Stecher might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wladimir Marissen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reik Stecher ran back to his position shaking his head. When Paul Schiele fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Licherode FSV's protests and gave Paul Schiele a yellow card for diving instead. Paul Schiele hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Arnshain FSV's Stefan Bak shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Andreas Neumann but with some difficulty. Licherode FSV's Raoul Keskin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arnshain FSV. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 62nd match minute, Arnshain FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spike Schönhaar to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes, Licherode FSV's Raoul Keskin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wladimir Marissen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Licherode FSV reached it. If Valerian Deckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Arnshain FSV booed when Licherode FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 87 played minutes Licherode FSV got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Reimers. Wladimir Marissen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Beith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valerian Deckers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Andreas Neumann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
