Leonhard Pleve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Matthias Schellheimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Schellheimer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otfried Hundelshausen in the 11th minute. Chalá Lorenzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Schellheimer having to interfere. Simon Jagnow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matthias Schellheimer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chalá Lorenzo in the 18th minute of the match. If Simon Jagnow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pio Henzler kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Dan Schmermbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Torsten Gebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ole Pabst's late challenge caught a °°TüRkEy°°!! FeNeRbAhCe!!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ole Pabst helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, FC Garching München was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole Pabst to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Jo Wagenblast was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Garching München's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave °°TüRkEy°°!! FeNeRbAhCe!! the free kick. With a little luck, FC Garching München's Matthias Schellheimer got control of the ball when Friedhold Jelden tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Simon Jagnow came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FC Garching München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Jagnow couldn't finish the play. Dan Schmermbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Gebert having to interfere. Dan Schmermbeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Torsten Gebert made a huge save. If Chalá Lorenzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Pio Henzler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Otfried Hundelshausen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wolf-Dieter Linde fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored °°TüRkEy°°!! FeNeRbAhCe!!'s protests and gave Wolf-Dieter Linde a yellow card for diving instead. Wolf-Dieter Linde hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The FC Garching München supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Garching München would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
