The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Vaclav Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Raimund Streichfuss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Todenmann's goalkeeper Burkhard Gabler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peer Wagefeld. Peer Wagefeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burkhard Gabler having to interfere. Peer Wagefeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Burkhard Gabler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burkhard Gabler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattis Mack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uli König hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Wolfgang Rippert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Todenmann's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Rippert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimund Streichfuss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burkhard Gabler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattis Mack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uli König kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Mattis Mack, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Burkhard Gabler was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Burkhard Gabler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattis Mack's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes, Tord Jadamowitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Todenmann and the InterWerder players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Türke, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mattis Mack to strike the kick off in the second half. Burkhard Gabler came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by InterWerder's Peer Wagefeld. But to his dismay, Peer Wagefeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 64th match minute, InterWerder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirsten Fricke to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Vaclav Laing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimund Streichfuss. InterWerder's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaclav Laing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vaclav Laings short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Raimund Streichfuss to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Peer Wagefeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 77 minutes, Wolfgang Rippert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Todenmann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wolfgang Rippert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. InterWerder's Raimund Streichfuss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save InterWerder from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gunnar Joachimsmeier during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, InterWerder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Joachimsmeier to maneuver through the defense. Burkhard Gabler came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by InterWerder's Peer Wagefeld. But to his dismay, Peer Wagefeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. InterWerder had won after a very even match.
