A collision led to Zühlist getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Bonifatius Walser hit a great ball. Uri Moeskes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Piero Laslo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uri Moeskes in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piero Laslo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the game, Don Tanecker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Asseln's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zühlist the free kick. The supporters of Zühlist booed when FC Asseln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Tanecker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Zühlist's Haimo Dresdner got a free kick in the 18th minute. Piero Laslo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balko Balko in the 22nd minute. FC Asseln's Uri Moeskes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uri Moeskes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piero Laslo having to make a save. A collision led to FC Asseln getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carl Tenbergen hit a great ball. Vincent Kirschner missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 37 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Peppo Wöhrl right hand side. In the 45th match minute, Zühlist was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hartfrid Freudenstein to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Zühlist's zone, Uri Moeskes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piero Laslo came out of the goal and Uri Moeskes tried to chip the ball over his head. Piero Laslo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balko Balko in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Balko Balko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Asseln's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balko Balko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zühlist's zone, Balko Balko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piero Laslo came out of the goal and Balko Balko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Klein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piero Laslo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uri Moeskes in the 88th minute of the match. Zühlist's Piero Laslo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uri Moeskes in the 93rd minute of play.
