Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Asseln's Uri Moeskes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Balko Balko came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC Asseln fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balko Balko couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the game, Felix Rammer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonner SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Asseln the free kick. A collision led to Bonner SC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Felix Rammer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balko Balko in the 5th minute of play forced Bonner SC's goalkeeper Heiko Schemel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, FC Asseln's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Hummel came free, but Peppo Wöhrl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peppo Wöhrl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmut Raab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peppo Wöhrl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmut Raab in the 15th minute of play. Toni Hummel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peppo Wöhrl having to interfere. Carl Tenbergen's late challenge caught a Bonner SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Tenbergen helped the player get up and apologised. If Helmut Raab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Helmut Raab who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Asseln's Peppo Wöhrl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uri Moeskes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Balko Balko in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Schemel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Uri Moeskes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Schemel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Uri Moeskes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heiko Schemel. Bonner SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uri Moeskes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Uri Moeskes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Schemel having to interfere. After 49 minutes Bonner SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stefan Nissler who took care of the corner kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Helmut Raab to make the kick off. If Uri Moeskes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heiko Schemel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uri Moeskes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Uri Moeskes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Heiko Schemel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Asseln. 69 minutes into the game, Uri Moeskes lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Heiko Schemel. Balko Balko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Schemel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Uri Moeskes managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Asseln's supporters rose to their feet, but Uri Moeskes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiko Schemel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 97 played minutes Bonner SC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel El Uriagli. FC Asseln's Uri Moeskes got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
