Hjalmar Gogolok kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jürg Ehrenberg scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Preußler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Gottlieb Güven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gottlieb Güven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Albert Preußler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holstein Kiel's Albert Preußler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottlieb Güven in the 28th minute of play. Dieter Huegelschaefer charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dieter Huegelschaefer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute Hartwig Biermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Preußler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jürn Röring managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holstein Kiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Jürn Röring was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tilmann Schlender breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jürn Röring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tilmann Schlender having to interfere. A collision led to ssv bergneustadt 08 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jürg Ehrenberg hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Jürn Röring made the kick off in the second half. Holstein Kiel's Albert Preußler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Holstein Kiel from getting a goal against them. Albert Preußler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Grentz in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Jürn Röring got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albert Preußler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gottlieb Güven, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Holstein Kiel's Albert Preußler got control of the ball when Hartwig Biermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, Leschek Schlender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Gottlieb Güven kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albert Preußler. That made the score 1-2 in the 72 minute of play. In the 74th match minute, ssv bergneustadt 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egmont Bose to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Holstein Kiel's zone, Gottlieb Güven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Preußler came out of the goal and Gottlieb Güven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Holstein Kiel's Albert Preußler got control of the ball when Hartwig Biermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hartwig Biermann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Albert Preußler made a huge save. Albert Preußler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gottlieb Güven went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Hartwig Biermann could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Albert Preußler however easily saved by the left post. Jürn Röring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tilmann Schlender having to interfere. Leschek Schlender's late challenge caught a ssv bergneustadt 08's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leschek Schlender helped the player get up and apologised. Leschek Schlender hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
