An unexpectedly hard shot by Raik Makel in the 4th minute of play forced FC Ballsport 09's goalkeeper Walther Schädlich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Michael Kochert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ballsport 09's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Kochert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arko Kandelhard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hernan Lehmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Lehmer struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Walther Schädlich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alm FC. Werner Boxberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arko Kandelhard having to interfere. Hernan Lehmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Helmold Schindler notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Ballsport 09's Walther Schädlich. Walther Schädlich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raik Makel took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walther Schädlich. Walther Schädlich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jürgen Kaiwesch made a kick off. Jürgen Kaiwesch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arko Kandelhard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. FC Ballsport 09's Walther Schädlich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helmold Schindler in the 69th minute of play. Kai Knöpfel might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walther Schädlich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kai Knöpfel ran back to his position shaking his head. Jürgen Kaiwesch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walther Schädlich was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tristan Sauer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 78 minute of play. André Motzer charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Motzer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Ballsport 09's André Motzer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Alm FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Helmold Schindler hit a great ball. With 87 minutes on the clock, Werner Boxberger commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Alm FC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zaman Stoch, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Ballsport 09's Walther Schädlich. 0-4.
