Hans-Jürgen Richter started the match with the kick off. Wesley Stingl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jossip Matzke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmo Kringel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jossip Matzke having to interfere. ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's Emmo Kringel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hans-Jürgen Richter came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Börnersdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans-Jürgen Richter couldn't finish the play. Achim Schulte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Teufel having to interfere. In the 22nd minute of the match Eduard Sponagl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jossip Matzke showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Wesley Stingl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Emmo Kringel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jossip Matzke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ΑΕΚ Αthens FC's Sven Teufel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save ΑΕΚ Αthens FC from getting a goal against them. Wesley Stingl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wesley Stingl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Stingl to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Stingl in the 56th minute of play forced Börnersdorf's goalkeeper Jossip Matzke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Börnersdorf booed when ΑΕΚ Αthens FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Stingl didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Börnersdorf getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ferit Schönhuber hit a great ball. Wesley Stingl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jossip Matzke came out and tried to block the shot, but Wesley Stingl slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 67th minute. If Emmo Kringel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Teufel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
