Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dennis Meier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Scheller having to interfere. Dario Grimminger kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. SV Gösenroth's Jurij Kleinfeld couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for VFL Bonn. After 7 played minutes VFL Bonn got a freekick which was hit by Ergün Burgbacher. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Meier in the 9th minute of play forced VFL Bonn's goalkeeper Claes Scheller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torsten Fellhauer during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Torsten Fellhauer kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes VFL Bonn got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Fellhauer. 23 minutes into the match, SV Gösenroth's Hakan Sauter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Scheller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Anton Knietzsch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VFL Bonn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Gösenroth the free kick. Rainier Hauke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Bastian Wittmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rainier Hauke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Sebastian Kramer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ellis Herber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Meier to make the kick off. Ellis Herber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ergün Burgbacher in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bastian Wittmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Gösenroth's supporters rose to their feet, but Bastian Wittmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Scheller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Meier in the 58th minute of play forced VFL Bonn's goalkeeper Claes Scheller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SV Gösenroth's Sevim Türkmen got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dennis Meier struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Claes Scheller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Gösenroth. Claes Scheller was a little too slow when Dennis Meier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-2. The audience was convinced that Dennis Meier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claes Scheller was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 75 played minutes SV Gösenroth got a freekick which was hit by Jurij Kleinfeld. Carsten Ballas, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ellis Herber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainier Hauke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Hakan Sauter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, SV Gösenroth's Bastian Wittmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Hakan Sauter's late challenge caught a VFL Bonn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hakan Sauter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Carsten Ballas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SV Gösenroth's Ellis Herber didn't even have to move. When the match was over SV Gösenroth could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than VFL Bonn throughout the match.
