An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Kossowski in the 5th minute of play forced Gut Nienhagen's goalkeeper Norman Kirsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gut Nienhagen's Hansel Baurhenn got a free kick in the 6th minute. Benjamin Balla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Zollersteighof FSV's zone, Frederico Rathmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Udo Sohlmann came out of the goal and Frederico Rathmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Zollersteighof FSV got a freekick which was hit by Birk Onken. Udo Sohlmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Balla in the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Kossowski got free with Norman Kirsch in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joachim Anklam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Norman Kirsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hristo Lattus kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Wim Kossowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Kirsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hansel Baurhenn during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Gut Nienhagen got a freekick which was hit by Hansel Baurhenn. Benjamin Balla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udo Sohlmann having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Norman Kirsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birk Onken in the 54th minute of play. If Frederico Rathmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zollersteighof FSV's Udo Sohlmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Balla in the 66th minute of play. Gut Nienhagen's Norman Kirsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Jenssen in the 67th minute of play. If Frederico Rathmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Kirsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Anklam, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Wim Kossowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Gut Nienhagen defense, Wim Kossowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norman Kirsch. The Gut Nienhagen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norman Kirsch should have stopped the shot. Zollersteighof FSV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
