Bayer04's Osvaldo Villaelrriego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Lau in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Otto Capezzuto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bayer04's Osvaldo Villaelrriego. Osvaldo Villaelrriego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hannes Lau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Osvaldo Villaelrriego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Villaelrriego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andi Bode, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Frerk Miethe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Hellerhof's Nikolai Haintz in action when he in the 24th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Otto Capezzuto took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Villaelrriego. Osvaldo Villaelrriego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andi Bode in the 30th minute of play forced Bayer04's goalkeeper Osvaldo Villaelrriego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Villaelrriego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Aulert, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Aulert in the 34th minute of play forced Bayer04's goalkeeper Osvaldo Villaelrriego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hellerhof's Edgar Gronau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifatius Wissmann in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Bayer04's Mathieu Schachtschober nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Gronau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiko Spiller in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Gronau saved Hellerhof from getting behind. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hellerhof's goalkeeper Edgar Gronau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otto Capezzuto to strike the kick off in the second half. Mathieu Schachtschober kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Edgar Gronau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Heiko Spiller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Gronau. Hellerhof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heiko Spiller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiko Spiller in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Gronau saved Hellerhof from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Heiko Spiller notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Hellerhof's Edgar Gronau. Edgar Gronau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Heiko Spiller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88thth minute of the game Heiko Spiller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hellerhof's Edgar Gronau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Spiller in the 89th minute of play forced Hellerhof's goalkeeper Edgar Gronau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Gronau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Breilmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bayer04 had won after a very even match.
