After 10 minutes, Ole Höhle made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fenerbahce314's Karl-Georg Riegert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hjalmar Vollath hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the game, SG Arnstadt's Timo Rybarczyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Georg Riegert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 32 played minutes, SG Arnstadt's Johann Sorg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl-Georg Riegert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SG Arnstadt reached it. After 37 played minutes Dominik Schnelle could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-3 into the left cross. 42 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce314's Dominik Schnelle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adi Irber narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ole Höhle came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SG Arnstadt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole Höhle couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Timo Rybarczyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Karl-Georg Riegert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dominik Schnelle to make the kick off. Efraim Dautzenberg's late challenge caught a Fenerbahce314's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efraim Dautzenberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Efraim Dautzenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Björn Schwienheer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Casimir Romberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SG Arnstadt's Adi Irber didn't even have to move. Dominik Schnelle took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adi Irber. Adi Irber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 68th match minute, Fenerbahce314 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Hauer to maneuver through the defense. Ole Höhle in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Georg Riegert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hjalmar Vollath got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 71st match minute, SG Arnstadt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Vollath to maneuver through the defense. Adi Irber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Schnelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anton Forster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute, Efraim Dautzenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Casimir Romberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adi Irber showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Talbach in the 92nd minute of play forced SG Arnstadt's goalkeeper Adi Irber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Anton Forster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahce314's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Forster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
