An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Daniel Wagner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Boris Osterholt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Christian Schwettinger having to make a save. Alsheim FC's Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Alsheim FC from getting a goal against them. When Oliver Richters fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alsheim FC's protests and gave Oliver Richters a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alsheim FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Oliver Richters hit a great ball. Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heiko Munderloh's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Daniel Wagner took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiko Munderloh in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim saved Alsheim FC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Alsheim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heiko Munderloh came free, but Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Boris Osterholt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heiko Munderloh struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werningshausen FC. Heiko Munderloh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boris Osterholt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Heiko Munderloh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Wagner in the 62nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Heiko Munderloh sped through Alsheim FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim. Werningshausen FC's Adam Strunck got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boris Osterholt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Daniel Wagner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute Heiko Munderloh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan-Benjamin Nachtsheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Werningshausen FC's Ben Erhardt got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alsheim FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Werningshausen FC.
