After a defensive mix-up in Poppelvitz's zone, Kristof Reuters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Leimann came out of the goal and Kristof Reuters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Gartherfeld FC's Urs-Peter Hüsken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urs-Peter Hüsken in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Leimann saved Poppelvitz from getting behind. Dennis Miswchler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenz Sieben having to interfere. Urs-Peter Hüsken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute of the match Leo-Jan Harloff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Leimann skillfully saved the ball. Dennis Miswchler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Florian Kotter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Sieben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urs-Peter Hüsken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Stefan Leimann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Kotter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenz Sieben read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Poppelvitz's Dennis Miswchler got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Dennis Miswchler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorenz Sieben was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Urs-Peter Hüsken made the kick off in the second half. When Urs-Peter Hüsken came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gartherfeld FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urs-Peter Hüsken couldn't finish the play. Florian Kotter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dennis Miswchler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lorenz Sieben made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Miswchler in the 63rd minute. Poppelvitz's Florian Kotter got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Poppelvitz's Florian Kotter in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gartherfeld FC's goalie prevented a goal. Urs-Peter Hüsken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Leimann having to interfere. If Kristof Reuters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urs-Peter Hüsken in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Leimann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Kristof Reuters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urs-Peter Hüsken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
