After 22 minutes, Wim Dülfer made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dehmkerbrock's Christof Ziehsow tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Utz Pollakowski came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Orion FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Utz Pollakowski couldn't finish the play. If Wolf Götz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Marcus Becker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dehmkerbrock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Becker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Becker was the one to do the kick off. Paul Wulnikowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolf Götz in the 52nd minute of play. Christof Ziehsow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Dülfer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 67 minutes, Wim Dülfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orion FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Dülfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Utz Pollakowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christof Ziehsow. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Utz Pollakowski ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Christof Ziehsow managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Orion FSV's Utz Pollakowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Thomas Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dehmkerbrock's protests and gave Thomas Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Utz Pollakowski could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Christof Ziehsow however easily saved by the left post. Paul Wulnikowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Becker, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Wolf Götz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Wulnikowski having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Dehmkerbrock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Hägele to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Orion FSV getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gedeon Schiefer hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Orion FSV had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
