Schambach FSV's Gerd Eduard Thomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Ebersbacher in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Lucien Schabbing cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tim Fechter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Arik Hülsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Lucien Schabbing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schambach FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucien Schabbing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Schambach FSV's Gerd Eduard Thomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemens Bißt in the 44th minute of play. In the 49th minute Lucien Schabbing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Fechter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemens Bißt to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Steffen Ebersbacher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niederböllen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schambach FSV the free kick. Tim Fechter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien Schabbing, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jan-Nicolas Heintz was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Niederböllen FSV getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jan-Nicolas Heintz hit a great ball. If Arik Hülsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
