When Reimo Sonnenschein fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Allwörden FC's protests and gave Reimo Sonnenschein a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Lamerden FSV's Leon Gahler tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Reimo Sonnenschein was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 10th minute, Reimo Sonnenschein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11thth minute of the game Wayne Jehle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Allwörden FC's Mattis Igler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Welf Nierlein in the 14th minute of play forced Lamerden FSV's goalkeeper Ettore Klimpel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Welf Nierlein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ettore Klimpel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Welf Nierlein made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Allwörden FC were awarded a corner. Holger Faenger went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Allwörden FC's corner Daniel Burtscher fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ettore Klimpel quite easily take care of the ball. Allwörden FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Welf Nierlein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
