If Björn-Torben Grünewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claas Pfaffen had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Kim Derix from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 35 minutes, Marcel Scherf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boldevitz FSV and the Hembrock FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mattias Kochmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boldevitz FSV's Marcus von Witzendorff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Kochmann in the 39th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Mattias Kochmann took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Marcus von Witzendorff to make any attempt to save it. In the 57th minute, Kim Derix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Björn-Torben Grünewald reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcus von Witzendorff. The goal made the score 0-2. Boldevitz FSV's Marcel Scherf got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Marcel Scherf off the ground. Marcel Scherf kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Meikel Wassermann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus von Witzendorff showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boldevitz FSV's goalkeeper Marcus von Witzendorff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joachim Vengels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Claas Pfaffen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Boldevitz FSV's Joachim Vengels nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claas Pfaffen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kim Derix during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kim Derix kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Marcus von Witzendorff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn-Torben Grünewald in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hembrock FSV's goalkeeper Claas Pfaffen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boldevitz FSV were furious when Tommy Odemer was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Boldevitz FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hembrock FSV:s goal. The Hembrock FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hembrock FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
