When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joachim Vengels sped through Gut Loherhof's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ellis Keßler. Tobias Schulze charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Schulze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Boldevitz FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Scherf to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Boldevitz FSV's Marcel Scherf got a free kick in the 48th minute. Edmund Drobinski hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After the first half Boldevitz FSV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kim Derix was the one to do the kick off. Kim Derix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ellis Keßler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gut Loherhof booed when Boldevitz FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curt Roth didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kim Derix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Joachim Vengels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Derix in the 98th minute of play forced Gut Loherhof's goalkeeper Ellis Keßler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Boldevitz FSV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
