The audience was convinced that Björn-Torben Grünewald's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Slaven Lührmann was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. If Björn-Torben Grünewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schneppenberg FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Björn-Torben Grünewald scored to the left of an out of position Slaven Lührmann, making the score, 1-0. After 48 played minutes Schneppenberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Bachem. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Björn-Torben Grünewald was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 57 in the game by Heimito Kilpert from a close distance when the talented Claas Pfaffen managed to make a qualified save. Hembrock FSV's players were relieved. Mattias Kochmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slaven Lührmann having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Hembrock FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Schneppenberg FC:s goal. When Björn-Torben Grünewald came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hembrock FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn-Torben Grünewald couldn't finish the play. After 75 minutes of play, Hembrock FSV's Björn-Torben Grünewald made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Slaven Lührmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Hembrock FSV's Uwe Bak got a free kick in the 78th minute. Slaven Lührmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn-Torben Grünewald, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Mattias Kochmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slaven Lührmann having to interfere. Björn-Torben Grünewald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mattias Kochmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hembrock FSV booed when Schneppenberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emile Bertsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Schneppenberg FC's Jakob Brazol got a free kick in the 94th minute. Slaven Lührmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Kochmann's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. If Heimito Kilpert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hembrock FSV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Schneppenberg FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
