After a defensive mix-up in Schwosdorf FSV's zone, Helge Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrich Mothe came out of the goal and Helge Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Haihausen FSV booed when Schwosdorf FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Schwarzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Haihausen FSV's Meikel Bähner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulrich Mothe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaas Heuer in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Gaffga saved Haihausen FSV from getting behind. Tobias Kehl's late challenge caught a Haihausen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Kehl helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Tobias Kehl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulrich Mothe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Birmes in the 79th minute of the match. Helge Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrich Mothe having to interfere. Emilio Gaffga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaas Heuer in the 88th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Birmes couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Klaas Heuer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Schwosdorf FSV's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
