Bastian Kunze was a little too slow when Hubertus Jürgens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-1. Bastian Kunze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helmar Friedl in the 15th minute. In the 17th match minute, Zehbitz FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Adrion to maneuver through the defense. Hans-Georg Siebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Haje's Rainer Diem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quincy Weibe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainer Diem in the 31st minute of play forced Zehbitz FSV's goalkeeper Quincy Weibe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rainer Diem couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zehbitz FSV's Almut Klinkisch got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
