Folko Mütsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Freitag in the 11th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Kosmas Gerloff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wöstendöllen FSV and the Vorderste Berg FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Wöstendöllen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kosmas Gerloff. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Sann couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Wöstendöllen FSV defense, Sven Sann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Folko Mütsch. The Wöstendöllen FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folko Mütsch should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Vorderste Berg FSV's zone, Martin Goethe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Christian Hoefer came out of the goal and Martin Goethe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vorderste Berg FSV's Sven-Christian Hoefer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Goethe in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven Sann got free with Folko Mütsch in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boris Freitag was the one to do the kick off. Folko Mütsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Freitag, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Wöstendöllen FSV's Folko Mütsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Freitag in the 53rd minute of play. If Eusebio Oldenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vorderste Berg FSV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wöstendöllen FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
