Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simon Schiersand made the kick off which started today's match. Simon Schiersand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Küpper having to interfere. Matt Sieg charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matt Sieg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Kyllburg got a freekick which was hit by Matt Sieg. 9 minutes into the match, Kyllburg's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Fuhrmann came free, but Dennis Küpper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joshua Wiedenhöft hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Kyllburg's Dennis Küpper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Schiersand in the 14th minute of play. Dennis Küpper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Schiersand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Kyllburg's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Schiersand came free, but Dennis Küpper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Matt Sieg came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Kyllburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Sieg couldn't finish the play. Matt Sieg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Schmiedfranzl FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Steglich. Matt Sieg struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Eric Bartels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kyllburg. 32 minutes into the match, Patrik Fuhrmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Küpper. Kyllburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrik Fuhrmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Patrik Fuhrmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Küpper having to make a save. After 37 played minutes Schmiedfranzl FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan Fritz. Ralf Vossig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Bartels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matt Sieg, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matt Sieg to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Kapzan in the 53rd minute of play forced Schmiedfranzl FC's goalkeeper Eric Bartels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Schmiedfranzl FC's Jan Fritz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Arne Kapzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eric Bartels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schmiedfranzl FC's Eric Bartels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Sieg in the 61st minute of play. Eric Bartels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Sieg in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Matt Sieg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arne Kapzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eric Bartels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Schmiedfranzl FC's zone, Matt Sieg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Bartels came out of the goal and Matt Sieg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Schmiedfranzl FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Vossig came free, but Eric Bartels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Schiersand got in the 78th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dennis Küpper handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Patrik Fuhrmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matt Sieg in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Bartels saved Schmiedfranzl FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Schmiedfranzl FC's zone, Matt Sieg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Bartels came out of the goal and Matt Sieg tried to chip the ball over his head. Zlatko Recht hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Kyllburg were awarded a corner. Marc-André Naud went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Kyllburg's corner Marc-André Naud fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eric Bartels quite easily take care of the ball. The Schmiedfranzl FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Schmiedfranzl FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
