After 11 played minutes Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel got a freekick which was hit by Florian Korsus. Frederic Neuendorf hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Leo-Jan Scharf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Schwer in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Granderheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Fritsche to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 19 in the game by Gabriel Schwabenland from a close distance when the talented Pascal Weniger managed to make a qualified save. Granderheide's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Torsten Engel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pascal Weniger. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Gabriel Schwabenland might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascal Weniger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Schwabenland ran back to his position shaking his head. Pascal Weniger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Engel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Gabriel Schwabenland came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Schwabenland couldn't finish the play. If Torsten Engel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel defense, Sven-Philipp Komor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leo-Jan Scharf. The Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leo-Jan Scharf should have stopped the shot. When Gabriel Schwabenland came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Schwabenland couldn't finish the play. Hannes Schwer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo-Jan Scharf having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torsten Engel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Schwabenland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Weniger having to interfere. A collision led to Granderheide getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Stefan Hübner hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel's zone, Hannes Schwer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo-Jan Scharf came out of the goal and Hannes Schwer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Schwabenland in the 78th minute of play forced Granderheide's goalkeeper Pascal Weniger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Jan Halfmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Granderheide's zone, Gabriel Schwabenland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Weniger came out of the goal and Gabriel Schwabenland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Hagedorn charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Hagedorn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel's Manuel Hagedorn got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Granderheide's Hannes Schwer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leo-Jan Scharf. That made the score 2-3 after 83 minutes of play. Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel's Leo-Jan Scharf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Siedlung Am Krummen Winkel from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torsten Engel in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascal Weniger saved Granderheide from getting behind. Hannes Schwer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Granderheide's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Sven-Philipp Komor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Granderheide walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
