Dominic-Simon Thürmann was slow to take the kick. During this time Scheidingen FSV's players had a chance to rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernhard Heintz made a kick off. Albrecht Wenning charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albrecht Wenning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albrecht Wenning hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Dietmar Cakmakli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Boedefeld having to interfere. Melschede FSV's Dietmar Cakmakli got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Attila Kammerer hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Christoph Galuschka acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dominic-Simon Thürmann. Scheidingen FSV's Dirk Boedefeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dietmar Cakmakli in the 71st minute of play. Nico Wittmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Dietmar Cakmakli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirk Boedefeld.
