Leif-Eric Welzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Schmeisser, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Alexander Schmeisser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leif-Eric Welzel was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curtis Wörmann in the 36th minute of play forced Könau's goalkeeper Theobald Lichtenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Siederdissen FC's zone, Timotheus Gröger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif-Eric Welzel came out of the goal and Timotheus Gröger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Curtis Wörmann to make the kick off. 64 minutes into the match, Siederdissen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Schmeisser came free, but Leif-Eric Welzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikolaus Bradel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theobald Lichtenberg having to interfere. A collision led to Könau getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Elmar Eder hit a great ball. Timotheus Gröger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leif-Eric Welzel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. During the 81st minute of the match Klaus Timme completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Klaus Timme a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Könau booed when Siederdissen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus Timme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Schmeisser in the 82nd minute of play forced Siederdissen FC's goalkeeper Leif-Eric Welzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
