Kurt Reim in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paul Schütterle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Richard Kalvelage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Schütterle was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After having played for 12 minutes, Kurt Reim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Köchingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Reim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Richard Kalvelage was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köchingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wagenried FC the free kick. The supporters of Wagenried FC booed when Köchingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Kalvelage didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Olaf Köllner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olaf Köllner in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Amelung saved Köchingen from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Fritz Burkart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Olaf Köllner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paul Schütterle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köchingen. Luka Randelhoff hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Wagenried FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Richard Kalvelage 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Köchingen's Simon Illmann got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kurt Reim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Paul Schütterle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Kalvelage in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Schütterle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kurt Reim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Schütterle having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olaf Köllner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kurt Reim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Schütterle having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Köchingen's Kurt Reim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Schütterle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Kurt Reim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Richard Kalvelage left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the Wagenried FC defense, Kurt Reim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Schütterle. The Wagenried FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Schütterle should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Kalvelage in the 93rd minute of play forced Wagenried FC's goalkeeper Paul Schütterle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Schütterle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Reim in the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Richard Kalvelage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Schütterle was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Kurt Reim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Köchingen fully deserved thier win.
