Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olaf Köllner got the match started through his kick off. Philipp Kucharczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Schütterle having to interfere. Philipp Kucharczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's zone, Norbert Elsässer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Hußmann came out of the goal and Norbert Elsässer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th match minute, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cord Wurfel to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Jonathan Mut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wagenried FC the free kick. In the 25th minute, Luis Gistl fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Köllner in the 41st minute of play forced SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goalkeeper Karsten Hußmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Elsässer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karsten Hußmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Paul Schütterle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Gistl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Axel Kiefer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Wagenried FC. In the 58th minute Luis Gistl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Schütterle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Philipp Kucharczyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Schütterle was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. A collision led to Wagenried FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mattis Juratovic hit a great ball. Luis Gistl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Paul Schütterle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philipp Kucharczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Gistl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Philipp Kucharczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Schütterle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Wagenried FC booed when SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cord Wurfel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goalkeeper Karsten Hußmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert Elsässer. Cord Wurfel hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Karsten Hußmann made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Norbert Elsässer sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
